They are an invaluable part of EA's network. Each agent office is responsible for maintaining a network of subagents in each country to make sure direct payment is accepted thereby allowing for cashless services.
EA's resources are unequaled worldwide. Thanks to its international organization, EA USA can call upon and rely on colleagues from any of the other 33 EA 24-hour assistance centers, encompassing 5,000 permanent employees to render emergency assistance services worldwide.
Nationally and internationally, EA's tight and long-term relationship with the George Washington University's Department of Medicine staff has allowed 24-hour access to one of the the best Medical Case Management teams available anywhere.
George Washington University (GW) employs a pool of over 35 physicians and nurses to provide patient escort services to EA USA. Medical equipment, protocols, quality assurance, and liability coverage for transports are provided by the Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM). The DEM has particular expertise in the medical escort of patients on commercial airlines and strives in all cases to use the most cost-effective means to return a patient home when necessary.
GW's DEM is the only facility in the United States that specializes in travel emergency medicine and medical air transportation and also encourages all of their physicians to actively partake in every aspect of this form of assistance.
EA USA employs registered nurses who have long-term medical case management and transport experience. EA's nurses are not only responsible for occasionally being part of a medical transport, but also take care of initiating medical contacts, performing nursing contacts, and obtaining Utilization Review reports.
For more than 40 years, we have been constantly innovating to tailor to most responsive and human solutions, to assist people, anywhere in the world, when facing an exceptional or day to day situation.
